Saddle Hill:

Day 1
1. Leave Lüderitz after breakfast2. Travel through spectacular desert scenery approx. 70km3. Travel through spectacular dune scenery approx. 95km4. Arrive at Camp. Remainder of day relax at campsite, beach or have fun in the dunes.

Day 2
1. Breakfast2. Travel on beach at low tide to Saddle Hill South and enjoy scenery along the way. Look at mining camp engulfed by shifting sand dunes, sightseeing at old earthmoving equipment left to the elements of Mother Nature.3. Travel northwards to Spencer Bay and enjoy spectacular scenery.4. At Spencer Bay’s beach, climb over hill top to view a magnificent shipwreck of the vessel “Otavi” stranded on the beach in its own tiny bay, guarded by seals. This wreck can only be reached by foot or by sea. This resulted in the wreck being virtually left untouched. The vessel ran aground in the forties whilst loading guano from Mercury Island.5. Travel northwards to sightsee the detonated vessel “United Trader”, a vessel that ran aground in the early seventies with 700 tons of explosives on board. The vessel, with load, was detonated in 1974 with pieces of metal falling in an area of 5km radius. The explosion was even felt in the Lüderitz area. Travel further north to another shipwreck, the vessel “Arkona”.6. Return to camp traveling past a small fountain where Oryz drink and graze.

Day 3
1. Breakfast2. Travel back to Lüderitz via the dunes.3. Wildlife can be observed.

The 4 day tour is the same as above except day 2 is divided into 2 days were one day we shall be traveling to Saddle Hill south and on the other we shall be traveling north.



Bogenfels



1.Shall be collected from be it hotel or guest house at approx 9:00 from were we shall leave for Bogenfels.

2.The tour then passes Kolmanskop and GrassPlatz and about 20km along the tar road out of Luderitz we turn off into the Sperrgebiet at Rotkopf.

3.After checking in at the security post,Rotkopf, we travel along the dirt road towards Grillental,were we stop for pictures and a short history lesson.

4.From there its another 20km to the Swartberg were we turn off into a small mine road heading to Pomona.On route we also pass numerous view points and several old buildings.

5.Approx 01:00 we should reach Pomona we you may walk around and view the old ghost town and at approx .1:45 lunch will be served in the old school.

6.At approx 02:30 we shall embark on the journey towards the legendary Bogenfels,passing through Fairy tale valley and a old diamond field.

7.Approx 03:15 we shall arrive at Bogenfels were time will be given to view the arch and also will coffee be served.

8.At 04:30 we say good bye to Bogenfels and travel the 1 and a half hours back to Luderitz were you shall once again be dropped off at your respected hotel or guest house.
